2010 Chevrolet Equinox in St. Albans, VT

Introducing the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
The Go-Anywhere/Do-Anything Versatility of an SUV and the Comfort of a Sedan

Throughout the past six years, the Chevrolet Equinox has been a huge money-maker for Chevrolet on a whole, as well as Handy Chevrolet in particular.  People just can't get enough of them.  Even today as this page was put together, it was all I could do to get a couple photos and a video, because as soon as they are dropped off the vehicle carrier they are grabbed up at lightning speed.

Why is that, one may ponder?  Is it the go-anywhere mentality of the Equinox, somewhere between a sedan and a sport utility vehicle?  Is it the raw performance of the excellent engine, the all-wheel drive handling, or the rugged interior that looks as though it can handle years of abuse?  It's all these things and more; to get a good idea, read on and get clued in on why the Equinox has become one of Chevrolet's most beloved models, and why the 2010 Equinox available at Handy Chevrolet, just off Interstate 89, Exit 20 in St. Albans, Vermont reaches the pinnacle of the compact SUV world.

After you browse through the specifications, information, quick reviews, photos, and of course the video, come on into Handy Chevrolet and speak with one of our Sales Consultants who will answer any remaining questions and find you the Equinox of your dreams.

The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
Engineered to Fit Your Style and Your Pocketbook

The 2010 Chevy Equinox is a radical approach to solving a problem that plagues nearly every manufacturer in the automotive industry.  If you were to examine the price tags of identical model year GMC Yukon's, Cadillac SRX's, and other similar vehicles, you'd find that it would be considered lucky if you left the respective dealership having only shelled out over $45,000.  And though it may sound cliche, who has that kind of money readily available to invest in a vehicle?  Don't get me wrong; there are certainly people that have the means and those folks worked hard to afford a luxurious vehicle such as those mentioned, however if your budget isn't as expendable but you want the same quality, it might be time to consider the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox.  With an inflated Malibu-like front end, an elongated body, and stylish fender flares, the Equinox is more like a priceless work of art than an affordable SUV.  Yes-I said it-affordable.  Of course I understand that it may sound odd, seeing as SUV and affordable are  typically oxymoronic words, but it would only seem to make sense that the skillful engineers at Chevrolet could link them together.

The Exterior:  Grace Meets Versatility

Perhaps the most recognizable feature of the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox's exterior is its aggressive trim and body styling.  With a blunt yet bold front end and beautifully shaped side paneling, the Equinox is perfectly poised no matter the angle from which you view it.  Perhaps what truly gives the Equinox such authority pertains to the wide wheelbase.  While this provides better handling and stability, it creates the aggressive and sporty image that consumers love to see in vehicles.  To the contrary, however, an SUV is essentially useless unless it is supported by an equally rugged set of tires and rims.  With deep treads, the Equinox's tires can handle nearly any navigable terrain-as well as some that lesser SUVs may find impossible-and they look simply stunning mounted on the SUVs sleek set of alloy rims.  Looks aren't everything though, and the large wheels of the Equinox perform a necessary duty by elevating the chassis in order to gain substantial ground clearance.  At just under eight inches, the Equinox offers adequate room for climbing over obstacles as well as plenty of buffer room if you happen to meet up with any unforgiving potholes or washouts.

That Which Propels You...

What about under the hood-what other hidden goodies is the Equinox hiding?  For first time Equinox drivers, it's nearly impossible not to be impressed by the SUVs outstanding fuel economy.  With a compact, fuel efficient, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, the Equinox posts scores an EPA estimated 29 miles per gallon on the highway.  With those figures alone it's hard to sustain any valid argument against the Equinox, significantly more so when those numbers are remarkably similar to those of many smaller, four-door sedans.  While the Equinox's exterior and powertrain are truly one of a kind, it's hard to continue much further without mentioning the vehicles dazzling interior, especially since that's where you'll spend most of your time!

Come Inside:
This Cabin Was Made Just for You

The interior of the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox looks almost as if it's been adapted from a sci-fi film to fit the constraints of modern, space-age artistry.  This certainly does not mean that the Equinox
is unattractive-in fact it means the opposite.

Whether you purchase the cloth or leather interior, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how amazingly comfortable the Equinox looks while never giving up comfort.  With a luxurious set of adjustable, contoured front seats, this vehicle provides the utmost in occupant comfort.  Without a doubt, you'll be able to drop your shoulders and drive in perfect relaxation.  When it comes to seating, features unique to the Equinox are the optional black and red cloth bucket seats.  From afar, these stylish seats look as if they are a solid black color but upon closer examination one will notice that they are accented by red mesh highlights.  The abstract trick of the brain is definitely puzzling, but it dramatically enhances the Equinox's revolutionary design and overall pizazz.

However pleasing it may be to gawk at the Equinox in broad daylight, this vehicle, as ironic as it may sound, shines beautifully at night!  Once the sun sets, the interior of the Equinox comes alive with an aurora of brilliantly placed colored back lights and dials.  In fact, it's hard not to stare at the Equinox's colorful tachometer and speedometer combo.  Although its flashiness is only a matter of aesthetics and certainly not an item whose presence would make or break the vehicle's performance, it proves that the folks crafting the Equinox at Chevrolet pay close attention to detail.  Furthermore, the interior features bright silver accents that continue to pay homage to not only the Equinox's masterful design but its Star-Trek-presence as well.  To say the least it's modern, and stands as a soothing break from the abominable eyesores other car manufacturers tend to produce.

To continue on the topic of sensory stimulation, the Equinox is even pleasant to listen to.  Or, ironically, it's pleasant to listen to-rather it is if you can hear it, and that's definitely a big if.  What this means is that the interior of the Equinox remains tremendously quiet during travel.  With a sound proof interior, you can barely even hear the whir of rubber on pavement as you make your way down the highway which only maximizes the performance and output of the vehicles optional Pioneer sound system.
