Handy's Going Mobile Part 2: The iPhone Site

Truth be told ladies and gentlemen, those of you who read the first part of this series (Handy's Going Mobile Part 1:  Cell Phones) will see very soon that not much is different in terms of actual content.  So why, you may ask am I taking the time to jot this blog down?  Well here's the big difference:  the look and mechanics of it.

As you saw in the screenshots of the cell…

Award Wrap-up: Chevy Volt is the King of 2011

A while back I gave you folks an update regarding the fact that the 2011 Chevrolet Volt had won numerous awards (see below), but the big enchilada was still up in the air, that being the North American Car of the Year award, perhaps the distinguished honor of the automotive industry.  When all votes were tallied and accounted for, the decision was just about unanimous and the 2011 Chevrolet Volt was officially crowned king as?

Chevrolet Corvette Driving School

Higher horsepower (hp) and torque are more accessible than ever before; and it is pertinent that we remember such power demands greater responsibility. In an effort to share this philosophy, General Motors is offering people who buy a new Chevrolet Corvette the opportunity to get the most out of their ride by attending one of two exclusive driving schools.

It's true, for a limited time, GM is giving away vouchers redeemable at both of…

Continuing the Smart-Car Battle

I recently wrote a blog about Toyota's Entune, Chevrolet's MyLink, Ford's Sync, and so forth and how the coming of the intelligent automobile was rapidly picking up pace.  It seems General Motors read my blog... well, okay, I'm sure they just keep up to date on stuff a billion times more adequately than I can, but regardless, they surely paid attention to the release of the automotive intelligence with the announcement…

Buxom Woman at NADA? Really?!

Forgive me if this blog comes off as a little preachy but I feel compelled to state my piece about this.  I will warn you that I am going to be overly PG-conscious, but I cannot say that the ideas herein may not cross over into PG13 territory.  I will try my hardest to remain graceful throughout the proceedings, but any crossing of the rating lines will strictly be due to the subject at hand?

Chevrolet Enters "World War App"

GM has OnStar; Toyota is coming out with Entune; Ford has Sync; what does Chevy have?  That's what people have been asking us for quite some time, and now the answer is finally upon us.  The recently unveiled "Chevrolet MyLink," debuting on the 2012 Chevrolet Volt and the 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, the latter of which is probably closer than the former's 2011 brethren, should make for an interesting battle of the vehicle applications?

Handy Chevrolet Joins Dealer Rater

Over the past couple of years, Handy Chevrolet has been using Dealer Rater as a non-Certified dealer.  If you were to log onto Dealer Rater's website and search for Handy Chevrolet, you'd see a big black/blue logo with a cross on it that says NON-CERTIFIED.  While I won't touch upon whether or not that's a bit odd to put such a scarlet letter on the site, it surely didn't…

Chevrolet Conservation Efforts Across America

Chevrolet's new tag line is "Chevy runs deep". It connotes philosophy, philanthropy and integrity. And with its latest initiative - to eliminate eight-million metric tons of carbon from the air - the company is certainly living up to the claim. To put the immensity of this undertaking into perspective, consider for a moment that the equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by eight-million tons of carbon would be planting a forest the size of Yellowstone.

How does…

Volt News in Chevyland

The 2011 Chevrolet Volt has garnered a great deal of praise over the past four months since its November 2010 semi-release, and for good reason.  Some may not consider it as amazing as it really is because, in all truthfulness, most people don't quite understand it.  A few people have gone so far as to pose the following question:  "What's so amazing about the Volt's 50-mile electric radius if the Nissan Leaf…
