It was only 11, 9, and 8 months ago that we released three blogs about the Chevrolet Caprice, and in the first two - from June 2011 and August 2011 - it was looking that the Chevy police patrol vehicle or PPV was going to become a new Chevrolet vehicle for all to buy and enjoy.
Alas, as you know this never came to fruition, and Chevy fans the world over - specifically fans of the once-available RWD Chevy sedans - shed a silent tear.
Now for the good news: it seems we didn't hope in vain.

As shown above, Chevrolet and General Motors have secretly been developing a new sedan - the first rear-wheel drive sedan since the days of the general public-available Caprice - that will arrive in Chevrolet dealerships across the country late in 2013 or early 2014. Featuring the same global rear-wheel drive platform used in the Camaro, the Chevrolet SS is sure to impress fans of the Chevrolet of yesteryear and, very likely, make a whole new generation of fans come to the surface.
To get back to bad news, this is really the only news we've received about the upcoming RWD sedan dubbed the Chevy SS (which in Chevrolet's language means "Super Sport" a la Camaro SS). Keep tuned to the Handy Chevrolet blog for more details as we get them.
