Chevrolet Volt, GM's new electric car, has already been named 2011 car of the year by Motor Trend, Automobile Magazine and Green Car Journal. And despite a $41,000 price tag, dealers report waiting lists for the combination gas/battery-powered vehicle. The car can travel 35 miles on electricity, and an additional 340 miles on a tank of gas.

The University of Vermont Hockey Team has another alumnus making an impact on the NHL Stanley Cup Finals.  Patrick Sharp scored another goal last night for a total of ten for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.   He is another in a recent line of UVM hockey players to make their presence felt.
