Not happy with the Traverse? Enter 2013's...

Though clearly a frontrunner for "best SUV," that doesn't mean Chevy's going to rest on the Traverse's laurels when it comes to next year's edition.  Take a look at the recently released list of features coming to 2013's Chevrolet Traverse, below.

  • A new front end (pictured above)
  • New grille design (also shown above)
  • Chrome accents

Food drive update 3

Good afternoon friends,

I hope many of you took the time to read the previous couple blogs regarding the local food/cleaning product relief attempt that we're currently engaged in at Handy Toyota, Handy Chevrolet, the Messenger, the Vermont Clothing Company, and indeed many other local merchants around St. Albans City.  If you hadn…

Food drive update

St. Albans City (Vermont) Representative Dustin Allard Degree recently teamed up with Handy Toyota, Handy Chevrolet, handycars.com, the St. Albans Messenger, and other local businesses and schools have teamed up to help those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Irene by initiating a food drive to help those affected by the storm.

Below is Representative Degree's latest blog which you can find and follow at www.degree4stalbanscity.blogspot.com, which explains the?

Remember MLK

Those of you who view handycars as one entity and therefore read both of our blogs, subscribe to both, or even view both on our separate Handy Toyota and Handy Chevrolet Facebook pages may realize that we try to keep things separate.  This isn't a business decision such as we want to seem at odds with each other; quite the contrary is true in fact, and we have a unified team that works quite…
More news has been released by Chevrolet Motors in regards to their plans for the $116 million investment program that was launched in May, and once again American jobs are on the line - in a good way (for once).

Powered by this large investment from GM Ventures, General Motors' entrepreneurial side of the conglomerate, not only will more models than ever be truly "American made," but several GM plants nationwide will see a hefty influx…

Chevrolet Continues Sponsoring MLB

Chevrolet has recently renewed its sponsorship with Major League Baseball, and this is great news for Chevrolet, a company that continues to hold the right to be the sole automotive sponsor of the MLB.  This was announced at the 82nd annual All Star game in Phoenix, Arizona.

What better time could there have been for Chevrolet to celebrate this partnership than on its centennial this year?  For most of those 100 years, Chevrolet and baseball…

The NASA-Chevy Connection Hits 50 Years

As we discussed this past week, the Chevrolet emblem and NASA have a long history of holding hands, marked by the first American astronaut's orbital exit and following entrance into a Corvette.  From that point on, each astronaut in the space program was not only given a new Corvette but also fully enjoyed showing off said car as exemplified in a recent Corvette rally wherein astronauts from the last six decades and with 'Vettes…

More About the Chevy Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle

An all-new Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV) will join the ranks of law enforcement departments across North America in 2011. It's a modern, full-size, rear-drive sedan that will offer both V-8 and V-6 engines, as well as a host of specialized equipment and features.

Chevrolet made the announcement at the annual International Association of Chiefs of Police convention, in Denver, Colorado. The Caprice PPV will be available for ordering next year and will…
Though anyone who has been into or near Handy Chevrolet's 699 Highgate Road location in St. Albans, VT (click here for directions) can attest, we are blessed with one of the nicest facilities in Vermont if not New England.

For me, even when I wasn't a member of the staff at Handy's it was always a treat when I would drive down Highgate Road coming from Swanton, VT and start to see…

The 5.5 Millionth Silverado

This past week, the ladies and gentlemen who build a large number of Chevrolet Silverado's in the United States passed a large milestone at their Fort Wayne, Indiana plant as the 5.5 millionth Chevrolet Silverado was assembled and shipped off to a customer--well, sort of.

To commemorate this monumental occasion, Chevrolet invited soon-to-be owner of this particular white extended cab Chevy Silverado to enjoy the procedure from start to finish.  The vehicle was…
