Introducing the revamped Handy Chevrolet Certified Service Fuel Efficiency service page, giving you a slew of gas-saving tips that will do one thing above all else:  maximize fuel efficiency in ways that YOU can implement with no extra cost, no headache beyond a small foresight, and ultimately keep more dollars in your wallet (or at least reduce the time between fill ups).  Keep in mind we're not talking about a new Chevy Volt, per se; if you have a Ford Model T and utilize these tricks you will maximize your fuel economy.

For two solid years the handycars.com family, made up of us at Handy Chevrolet at 699 Highgate Rd. in St. Albans, VT 05478 and our sister store Handy Toyota have had a stagnant, non-interactive car wash menu under our handycars Real Clean Car Wash and Detailing section (find this at Service --> Car Wash and Detailing Menu).  We didn't mean to let it?

Shop for GM and Chevy parts on handychevy.com

Are you tired of having to search online for the auto part or car and truck accessory you need?  Does it bother you that, being such a popular vehicle, the 2012 Silverado 1500 you purchased looks just like your buddy's, your neighbor's, and Joe Schmoe's?  Is looking for new snow tires or all season tires the less preferred alternative to getting your teeth pulled?

If you said yes to any one (or…

Since we're in February in VT here at Handy Chevrolet of St. Albans and it has historically been one of the coldest months of the year here (although, and forgive me for jinxing it, this year's been mild compared to others), we thought we would give you a winter driver's safety tip blog to get you through to March and April when the (oh-so-looked-forward-to) thaw finally arrives with the birds and luscious green foliage.

For more on winter driving, be sure to check out Handy Chevrolet's Winter Car Care Guide from earlier in the winter (please note some of these tips could overlap; that just means they're good tips!) for a refresher on any of the content we discussed.  If you think you need a tune up or some such, schedule a service appointment with our Certified Service and car repair technicians or send them an email today.  You can also check out our winter tire menu sizes, pricing, and order forms if you think a little extra grip will make the difference you require.

A dummy's guide to safe winter driving

Last winter, I would have never been able to write this blog.  I test drive the new Toyota vehicles, used cars, and new Chevrolet vehicles found at the two handycars.com dealerships - Handy Toyota of 39 South Main Street, St. Albans, VT 05478 and Handy Chevrolet of 699 Highgate Road, St. Albans, VT 05478 - but a test drive in a $40,000 vehicle that you don't own is a far cry from the leased…

The winter months and the surefire chill that comes with it, simply put, is a part or life in the greater Burlington, VT area; this means snowy, icy conditions and treacherous driving.  We are literally forced to traverse these potential hazards day in and day out no less as we make our way to work, the grocery store, or even a vacation.  The bottom line is that even though many of us would probably opt?

Choosing quality winter tires

If you have not already had a chance to read my blog called "Snow tires - do you know the right type?" you should preface this blog with the previous one.  If you have read that blog on whether or not snow tires are right for you, you likely know that there are many different brands of winter tires... but which is the best?  Just like I noted in the first blog...

Vehicle detailing: preparing for winter

We all know it's coming:  Vermont winter (cue the horror-movie music)!  With it comes some of our most lucrative tourist events like skiing and snowboarding, winter lodges, not to mention a large pool of ladies and gents that make their living moving the chilled rain droplets around.  But the downside of all those tax dollars and fun is rust-inducing salt and car-covering sand, which makes keeping a pristine paint job next to impossible.  Truth...

Snow tires - do you know the RIGHT type?

Winter is right around the corner and some of you (like me) you are anxiously waiting to hit the slopes; others are anxiously waiting to go down south for the winter months; and still more of you are most likely regretting having not moved to Florida for the upcoming cold months.

Whichever segment you fall in, if you haven't actually made the mentioned move you are also in the market for snow tires, so...
