Without question, the so-called "Chevrolet Cruze Project" was an unbridled success.  In 2011 when Chevrolet revamped the Cavalier/Cobalt and called it the Chevy Cruze, many a auto industry analyst and Chevy customer alike scoffed at the possibility of a 40 mile per gallon sedan that featured many toys found on higher end sedans... and the starting price of the $20k range, plus or minus a couple grand, made those pundits' disbelief grow even more rampant.
