In 1952, founder Floyd Handy opened Handy Truck & Tractor in Franklin County, VT. While the tractors may be long gone, Handy Chevrolet of St. Albans, VT, still serves the greater Burlington, Essex and South Burlington, VT and Plattsburgh, NY areas, continuing a long tradition of excellence in GM and Chevrolet sales, auto repair and service, and car and truck parts sales which have guided our third-generation family business for six decades.

Allen Austin was so helpful and kept in touch the entire time I was looking for my Tacoma. I didn't once have to contact the dealer to get information and everything was does in an exceptionally fast time. From when the first time I saw the truck online to when I drove it home it took 1 full day! I'll be recommending Handy Toyota for anyone looking for a great used vehicle! And if they don't have what you're looking for they will go out and find one for you.

Awful experience. After deciding not to purchase the original truck was looking at, the salesman drove a comparable truck to my house less than 30 minutes later to sell to me. While put on the spot, I decided I would look into it, and in the end decided to buy it after some research and a later test drive. During the week of getting things together (insurance, trade in, etc) I was interrupted numerous times at work by Handy's trying to speed the sale up. Very aggravating. Shortly after purchase I raised some general concerns about the vehicle which were never responded to until literally the day after my 30 day limited warranty expired. Even more-so, I was contacted via text (extremely unprofessional) asking how I liked the vehicle and hoping things were well. I had them check the alignment on the original truck I was looking at which turned out to be out of spec (pulled to the right dangerously down the road which is why I didn't buy it). The truck I purchased ended up being far out of alignment as well which makes me question the integrity and thoroughness of Handy's used car inspections prior to sale. During the sales process, Handy's seemed to jumble numbers and prices inconsistently. For example, they offered me a certain price for my trade in when I was looking at truck A, but offered me $3000 less for my trade in when I decided to buy truck B. As of today (10 weeks later), I've tried to contact service manager Joe Luneau with Handy Toyota regarding the same issues I've had with the vehicle's integrity and safety. Handy's have provided no answers, no resolutions, and showed no motivation to help. After numerous voicemails, e-mails, as well as contact with other service department employees, I have heard nothing back from Mr. Luneau. Overall Handy's seemed more interested in making a sale rather than helping me purchase a vehicle. I certainly will not be buying anything else from Handy Chevrolet or Handy Toyota in the future.

We originally started searching for vehicles on-line and found what we were looking for on Handy's website. After doing a "drive-by" after hours to confirm the car was still on the lot my wife and I went to go test drive the vehicle the next day. When we got to the lot the vehicle was in front of the Handy Toyota building and we went in there first. However we were mistaken and sent over to Handy Chevrolet's building. I would like to see some sort of sign or parking lot divider that lets you know what building you should go into. After going into Handy Chevrolet's building we were greeted kindly and introduced to Scott Colan. He is very approachable and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all of our questions about the vehicle, financing, warranty ect. And after we decided to buy, he was fully proficient in handling the purchase. After our paperwork was given to Reg Howard, we sat for a short while with Scott just talking about work, TV shows, and our families and places where we have lived. It was a good conversation with lots of laughing. Reg Howard was extremely good at the financing and the warranty side of things. We gave him a number that we were willing to work with and he did everything in his power to give us the most for what we were able to pay. Over all we would buy from here again and suggest this dealership to others.

My wife and myself were in the process to purchase a vehicle. Found a vehicle of interest on cars.com. Email Handys on Sunday, got a response on Monday and made arrangements to check out and test drive the vehicle on Tuesday evening. Upon arriving to Handys we were introducted to Allen Austin. We found Allen to be very friendly and easy to talk to. He was also very informative and if he didn't know something, he found out the answer and go back to us in a timely manner. Have no trade in and our own financing made for a quick and successful purchase. We also had a quick and short dealing with Reg Howard and found him to be very professional and to the point.
