Ultimate Network of Intelligent Tire Technology by Firestone

Using Firestone's groundbreaking UNI-T technology or Ultimate Network of Intelligent Tire Technology which is comprised of three great technological advancements in rubber tires, those who order Firestone FR710 tires get treated to exceptional tread life, superior comfort, and best of all all season road grip including dry roads, wet roads, and lightly snow-covered roads.

The Firestone FR710 all season tire in Vermont's UNI-T Technology is made up of and yields the following elements and benefits when coupled with the superior traction of the StabiliTrak system on GM and Chevrolet vehicles:

Tuned performance - a computer optimized component system (COCS)
The Firestone tire, unlike many would be competitors, gives you the smoothest ride available at a competitive price.  Made of the choicest materials and tire rubber compounds, the FR710 all season tire from Firestone's production method, COCS or computer optimized component system, yields an incredible shape, perfect down to the micro measurement.  By using Firestone's patented computer optimized component system, the FR710 can be honed to a perfect shape allowing for comfort and stability in a variety of road and weather conditions.

Roll rounder - O-bead technology
Firestone's patented O-bead technology not only makes the tire more advanced than nearly any other but it also keeps the rubber compounds together - in other words, it makes the tire last.  Using small, round "beads" of a silica compound, the O-bead technology strengthens the steel cables that keep the tire bonded, both in terms of the tire's rubber compound as well as the tire to wheel connection.  The round design (hence O-bead) are also far more round than previous iterations of Firestone tires, keeping the overall shape of the tire rounder and more consistent throughout.

Longer lasting - long link carbon composition
By scientifically enhancing the average carbon molecule and stretching it far past its natural length, the Firestone tire's long link carbon composition results in a tire comprised of a much greater molecular pull.  This in turn keeps the rubber stronger and together for a longer time leading to a a more secure drive and a longer tire life over the duration.

Tire Tips

We respect our customers and their intellect, so we're not going to beat around the bush - the bottom line is that tires are expensive.  We know it, we know you know it, and while we offer them at a competitive price and offer great monthly service specials like the Certified Service 30-day tire match guarantee, the fact remains that tires, just like new and used Chevrolet vehicle purchases in the Burlington, VT area, are an investment.  They are, however, a necessary expenditure for safe, comfortable, controllable driving.

This being the case, our Certified Service management, advisor, and technician team has put together a few tips for caring for your tires.  For more information, schedule a service appointment and come meet with a Certified Service technician or advisor, give us a call toll-free at 888-831-2041, or simply send them an email.  Also, be sure to check a couple blogs written by Jason, our Internet sales consultant team lead:  Snow tires - do you know the RIGHT type? or his follow-up blog called Choosing quality snow tires for some more helpful tips.

Tire maintenance
Everyone knows tires are expensive whether they are all-season tires or snow tires, but most people think they have a certain timeframe that tires should last.  Did you know that proper tire maintenance can minimize treadwear and thus extend tire life?  As an added bonus, proper tire maintenance can increase fuel economy and keep you safer overall.

Tire rotation
Tires wear in different ways depending on how you drive, but it also depends on where they are placed on a car.  For instance if your front-right strut was busted, that same tire could bear more wear than the rest.  As another example, some Chevy models and tire models require diagonal rotation exclusively, as the tire manufacturer considers how your tires wear normally and how they'll be most effective next.

Proper maintenance and rotation of your tires can keep you traveling safe - as long as you rotate them according to the Owner's Manual of your specific GM of Chevy car.  The other option?  Have the tire rotation performed by a Certified Service technician like those at Handy Chevrolet of St. Albans.  Our team is trained to maximize your vehicular safety, tire life, and ultimately happiness.
