Personal Design
Smart Guard is meant to make your life easier, and that wouldn't be the case if you had to conform to a pre-designed archetype.  Coverage is offered in flexible time and mileage increments that you can match to your lease term.  You can also add the Smart Guard payment directly to your lease payment!**

Component Coverage
There is a saying around GMPP that people have been saying for years:  "From the engine to the trunk lock, if a part breaks and it's not on the list, GMPP will pay for the repair - whatever the part!"  The following is the list of parts NOT covered under Smart Guard:

GMPP Maintenance Options, New and Leased Vehicles

Smart Care
Purchase a Smart Care plan for your new or leased vehicle, and several maintenance items are included, specifically things you have to do anyway!  Included in Smart Care are oil changes (oil and filter), chassis lubrications, and tire rotations.

Smart Care, like the rest of GMPP's available options, are designed to meet your needs. There is a $0 deductible for maintenance as explained above, and coverage is offered in combination ranging from 12 months and 12,000 miles up to four years and 60,000 miles! This coverage is both for in-warranty and out-of-warranty vehicles and can be purchased any time.

OLM (Oil Life Monitor) Care
OLM Care provides easy care for the life of your vehicle investment.  You can rest assured that your vehicle will perform to the highest quality because GM Technicians will maintain your vehicle when your vehicle's OLM system triggers GM recommended maintenance or inspection intervals.  OLM Care covers lubrication, oil and filter, tire rotation, fluid top off, and Inspection of critical safety and mechanical components of your vehicle.

Coverage is offered in time and mileage combinations ranging from 12 months and 12,000 miles up to four years and 60,000 miles and when OLM Care is purchased, your deductible for the above mentioned services will be $0.  OLM Care can also be purchased in or out of warranty at any time.

Goodwrench Care
Goodwrench Care is a maintenance contract that provides basic scheduled maintenance, specifically oil changes and filters for the selected period.  This is especially important in a leased vehicle, and you will always have your vehicle worked on by an authorized Mr. Goodwrench Technician and those who know your vehicle the best.  They have access to advanced GM diagnostic equipment, genuine GM parts, and you'll be welcomed at any GM Dealership across the U.S. and Canada.

Goodwrench Care includes oil changes and oil filters, and is designed to your specifications.  Choices can range from two to ten oil changes/filter replacements and you will have up to four years to use the purchased services, always at a $0 deductible.

Used Vehicle Protection

When you buy a used vehicle, you should consider protecting that investement with a GM Protection Plan for used vehicles.

We offer mechanical and mainteneance coverage for your used GM vehicle, whether used or GM Certified Used. Quality of coverage is the same as on a new or leased vehicle, and you can choose Major Guard, Value Guard, Basic Guard, or Smart Guard.  Please view the information above to gain more insight into these programs.
